Established in 1992 by David Millar, LASERIT started out as a Laser Cutting business.

This ran successfully and new premises at YATE were sought in 2000. The same year, LASERIT bought a state-of-the-art Bystronic Bystar 3015. This machine can cut up to 20mm Mild steel and 12mm Stainless Steel. Parts as large 3000 x 1500 can be cut on this bed.

The following year, the business had grown and a new Trumpf 2530 was required. Soon we needed Brake Presses, Welder/Fabricators and much more. Part of a larger group, LASERIT can offer the services of both a Plating plant and Powder paint plant.

One initiative LASERIT has taken is to allow Technical students from Yeovil's Bucklers Mead School to visit the factory to see our operation

As part of their visit, they helped Laser Cut a trophy that was presented to the Most Improved Student at the end of the year.
